Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Sunday, head of Iran's National Carpet Centre Freshteh Dastpak said Iran's hand-woven carpets are the highest quality and the finest carpets in the world, and Iran is justly famous for the quality of its carpets.
In further remarks, she referred to the very high quality of hand-woven carpets from Tabriz, saying this finest quality can be used to promote and advertise Iranian hand-woven carpets.
Dastpak added: "More than 50 percent of Iranian carpets exported abroad come from the city of Tabriz, and Tabriz is the global city of hand-woven carpets, and it has been registered as such by the United Nations."
The head of Iran's National Carpet Centre went on to praise the unrivalled quality of Iranian hand-woven carpets and in particular, the Tabriz hand-woven carpets.
The 4th round of the International Exhibition of Tabriz Hand-woven Carpets opened on July 31 and is currently underway until 4 August in the city of Tabriz, East Azerbaijan province, northwest of Iran. 203/211/215
