Tehran (IP) - Iranian Minister of Economy and Finance, Farhad Dejpasand has said his country would get out of recession in the near future.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, and answering a question about recession next year Farhad Dejpasand said: "I have to congratulate all the economic activists, policy-makers, and also decision-makers who despite all the pressure coming from some countries, are now moving in the right direction to get out of the recession."

"The World Bank has also acknowledged that we will get out of recession in the near future," the Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance added.

"I have stated that the achievement is due to government policies, particularly our effort to channel liquidity into production and manufacturing, management of resources and production capacity," he said.

According to Dejpasand, a set of policies and actions of the government and the private sector will help Iran to get out of recession soon.

In its latest report, the World Bank (WB) forecast that Iran’s economy will move out of a downturn in 2020. According to the WB report, Iran can experience its positive economic growth next year after the recent sanctions imposed against the country. 101/211/205
