Ankara (IP)- The commemoration ceremony of the day of Persian poetry and literature held in Türkiye.

Iran PressIran News: The ceremony honored the memory of the famous Iranian poet Mohammad-Hossein Behjat Tabrizi, known by his pen name Shahriar, and it was held in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye.

The cultural ceremony was held in the library of the city center of Ankara, hosted by the cultural consultation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Türkiye, according to Iran Press.

Pointing to the Turkish people's interest in learning the Persian language, Iran's cultural adviser, Türkiye Mohammed Qasem Nazemi, says: "We are trying to connect the universities and scientific centers of Türkiye and Iran and establish a good relationship in the field of Persian culture and literature." 

Referring to the international status of Persian culture and literature, Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Türkiye, said that neither the political power nor the domination but the hidden love in the Persian language has made it survive until now.

He added that the so-called hidden love in the Persian language has caused it to be the symbol of the most spiritual and beautiful messages and cultural achievements, peace, and friendship among different nations from China to Europe. 

A group of Persian language professors from Turkish universities also stressed the Turkish people's interest in the Persian language, cultural commonalities, and the position of Persian poetry and literature at scientific and academic centers.       

Currently, more than a thousand Farsi learners are studying in universities in cities such as Ankara, Istanbul, Erzurum, Konya, and Crikvenica.
