Iran Press/ Middle East: During his visit to Iraq and meeting with the Iraqi President, Prime Minister, and Ministers of Health and Industry, Bahram Eynollahi emphasized boosting health cooperation between the two sides and called for speeding up the registration of Iranian-made medicine in Iraq.
Iran's Health Minister also stressed the possibility of health tourism and providing medical services to Iraqi patients in Iran, exchanging professors and students, activating previous agreements between the two countries, and boosting cooperation in the field of health and disease control.
Eynollahi pointed to creating a common market for health-oriented products and called for removing obstacles to the development of cooperation in customs and export licenses.
Health diplomacy paved the way for the Arbaeen pilgrims
Arbaeen marks the 40th day that followed the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shia Imam, and his 72 loyal companions in the Battle of Karbala (Southern Iraq) in 680 AD.
The battle featured an unfair fight between Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions and the hugely outnumbered army of the Umayyad Caliph of the time, Yazid I.
During his visit to Iraq, which was aimed at preparing facilities for the Arbaeen Hosseini pilgrims after a three-year hiatus due to the corona outbreak, Iran's Minister of Health announced the finalization of the health instructions for the Arbaeen ceremony, which serves as good news for the significant presence of the pilgrims in the holy shrines.
During his visit to Iraq, Bahram Einollahi met with Iraqi officials and attended a meeting at the Arbaeen headquarters to finalize the health arrangements designed to facilitate the pilgrimage of Arbaeen.
He stressed the need to provide excellent health services to Arbaeen pilgrims this year at the meeting with Iraqi officials at the Arbaeen headquarters and reminded that the physicians who will take this spiritual journey this year, if they provide health services to the pilgrims, would enjoy privileges.
The coincidence of this year's Arbaeen ceremony with the summer season and the probable heat exhaustion of the pilgrims is one of the issues that the Ministry of Health is focusing on; so necessary predictions have been made in this regard to provide welfare and health services appropriate to the air temperature to prevent the pilgrims from suffering from.
This May, Einollahi, during a meeting with a group of Quranic activists during the holy month of Ramadan, promised to hold a glorious Arbaeen ceremony this year, which was fulfilled during a trip to Iraq.
Iranian Health Minister also called for the removal of obstacles and the facilitation of the significant presence of students and professors of medical sciences in this year's Arbaeen march.
