The Mufti said, " Israel, which is known for genocide and terrorism against civilians in Gaza, in which most of the victims are babies and women. In an exclusive interview with Iran Press in his residence in Kaduna State, Sheikh Gumi told the Nigerian Government, "You can't join hands with evil to fight evil," describing the Zionist entity as evil.

IP: How would you analyze the continuation of Israeli genocide on Gaza despite calls by the world to stop it?
Sheikh Ahmad Gumi: What's happening in Gaza now has reached a point where we are losing hope, not only with Israeli apartheid, but with humanity. The whole world is silent without taking any concrete action, especially the Arab world. There's no effort to sanction or break diplomatic relations with countries that support Zionism. No effort to come together to take serious action. Instead, the Arab countries are giving flowers to those committing this crime. But we have faith in God. Allah will do something to deal with these evil Zionists who are doing these atrocities, God willing.
IP: What major steps do you think Arab and Muslim countries should take to stop the genocide in Palestine?
Sheikh Ahmad Gumi: There are a lot of things they should do. Because economic power is in their hands. If we stop importing their products or stop giving them oil, they must stop the genocide. You know, if we impose these sanctions on American interests, they will stop the aggressions. Let's impose sanctions on all the countries that are supporting the Zionist regime. Let's impose sanctions on all countries that supply Israel with weapons. Let us all come together and form a very strong union that supports humanity and fights aggression. Like BRICS, as a case study, is becoming a challenge to American hegemony on the economy. Free people who oppose crimes should come together, unite, and impose sanctions on those who are aiding Israel.
IP: Let's come back home, Nigeria. Recently, the Federal Government has signed a deal with the Israeli regime on what they called "the fight against terrorism." What is your opinion on this?
Sheikh Ahmad Gumi: It is very unfortunate. Israel, which could not defeat Hamas resistance in a small land (Gaza) in two years, how will it help Nigeria? This is wrong, even technically, to invite Israel. Nigeria is bigger than that. Secondly, a criminal government should not be invited to repel another evil. Of course, we are facing an insecurity challenge that is fabricated by evil people, but we cannot join hands with evil to fight evil. A devil cannot fight himself. Therefore, we need clean hands that are not stained by the blood of innocent people. And thirdly, Nigeria is anti-apartheid. Nigeria helped the South African people until they got free from the apartheid government. So, Nigeria is expected to stand against this apartheid regime of Israel.
