In a phone call with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi criticized the UN Security Council and the UN nuclear watchdog for their failure to condemn Israeli-U.S. attacks.

Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Monday in a phone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, discussed the latest developments in the region after Iran forced the Israeli regime to stop its attack on June 24 after 12 days of attacks supported by the U.S.

The U.S. proposed a ceasefire on June 24, 2025, two days after its bombers targeted Iranian nuclear facilities, an act of support for the Israeli Regime, which faced Iran's missile response against the U.S.'s biggest military base in West Asia, Al Udeid Air Base, southwest of Doha, Qatar.

Araghchi in conversation with Abdelatty noted the global community's united condemnation of the Zionist regime's aggression, criticized the UN Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency's failure to condemn Israeli-U.S. aggression.

Iran's FM emphasized Tehran's serious efforts to label the Zionist regime as a regional aggressor in the global arena and force the regime to compensate for its aggression.

Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, in his turn, expressed satisfaction with the stop of conflict against Iran and emphasized that Cairo will continue its efforts to reduce tensions in the region, including efforts to find a solution to stop Israeli military operations in Gaza.
