President Pezeshkian has thanked Oman for its active role in facilitating indirect nuclear talks with the U.S. and efforts to lift sanctions as he met Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said in Muscat on Tuesday.

President Pezeshkian left Tehran for Muscat, the capital of Oman, on Tuesday afternoon for a 2-day visit at the official invitation of Oman’s King Haitham bin Tariq Al Said. Muscat, the capital of Oman, is the tenth destination of Masoud Pezeshkian’s travels as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Stating that Iran and Oman have shared potential that they can use for the welfare and progress of each other and other nations in the region, the President said that "We  appreciate the active and constructive role of the Sultanate of Oman in the indirect negotiations process, and we hope that this process will lead to good results."

In the presence of Pezeshkian and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, the officials of the two nations signed 18 cooperation documents.
