Iran PressIran news: The unveiling ceremony of the Iranian COVID-19 antigen-based rapid diagnosis kit was held on Tuesday in the presence of Jahangiri, Chief of the Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order (EIKO) Mohammad-Reza Mokhber-Dezfouli, and Head of the Coronavirus Control Operations HQ in Tehran Alireza Zali.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, the CEO of Barakat E-Health Company (BEHCo), Sajjad Moravveji, stated that the kit could break the disease chain by diagnosing the afflicted.

He noted that the kit could identify infected people in 15 to 20 minutes.

The CEO of BEHCo said the kit performs similarly to PCR diagnostic tests.

Regarding the difference between this product and regular kits, he stated that the kit can be used for outpatients and provides accessibility for people in remote and deprived areas.

This kit has a much lower price than those available in the market and its cost is about 30% of PCR kits, Moravveji announced.

This technological product can have significant currency savings for the country, he concluded.
