US Sen. Bernie Sanders in a tweet has said that while Some 40 million people lived in poverty. 500,000 slept on the streets.

Iran PressAmerica: Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont in a message in his twitter account on Monday wrote: "Before this crisis, half of our people lived paycheck to paycheck. Tens of millions had no health insurance."

"We cannot just go "back to normal." We must go forward and build an economy that works for all," Sanders wrote.

Millions of Americans have been hit with a double blow during the Coronavirus pandemic because they're out of work and without health insurance if they get sick.
