Tehran (IP) - Within the week ending on March 12th, the IME witnessed a trade of various types of commodities with a total trading value of more than 383 million USD.

Iran PressIran News:  According to a report by the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME)'s international affairs and public relations, the exchange saw the trade of 551,375 tonnes of commodities on its mineral and industrial trading floor valued at nearly 176 million USD, which included 231,398 tonnes of steel, 1,380 tonnes of copper, 2,310 tonnes of aluminum, 250 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 27 tonnes of precious metals concentrate, 160 tonnes of zinc, 315 tonnes of iron ore concentrate, 400 tonnes of coke and 1 kg of old bars.

The next trading floor was the IME's oil and petrochemical which saw the trade of 351,418 tonnes of commodities worth nearly 192 million USD. 

On this floor, customers of the IME purchased 89,270 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 117,021 tonnes of bitumen, 64,674 tonnes of polymeric products, 32,074 tonnes of chemicals, 45,000 tonnes of lube cut, 2,612 tonnes of insulation, and 1,800 tonnes of sulfur.

Based on this report, the IME's agricultural trading floor was a platform to sell 46,270 kg of saffron valued at more than 17 million USD.

Last but not least, the exchange saw the trade of 4,034 tonnes of non-exchange-listed commodities on its side market.
