Iran Press/America: During Sunday's United Nations Security Council meeting on the escalating Israeli-Palestinians conflict, while China's criticism was the most direct, other nations on the council, including Ireland, Norway, and Mexico reportedly made it clear that crafting a statement calling for an immediate cease-fire is an urgent matter.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi called on the UN Security Council to seek an early de-escalation of violence between the Israeli regime and Palestinians. He also blamed the US for the council’s lack of action so far.
“Regrettably, the council has so far failed to reach an agreement, with the United States standing on the opposite side of international justice,” the state-run Xinhua News Agency quoted Wang.
