Beijing (IP) - Iranians living in China celebrated Eid al-Ghadir by attending the Embassy of the Islamic Republic in Beijing.

Iran PressAsia: According to the Iran Press News Agency from Beijing, devotees and Shiites of Imam Ali (AS) celebrated the Eid-al-Ghadir in this city by holding various ceremonies.

The occasion is named after the event of Ghadir Khum when Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), in his last Hajj pilgrimage, introduced Imam Ali (AS) as his successor in a sermon delivered next to Ghadir Khum pond located between Mecca and Medina in 632 CE.
