Iran Press/ Iran news: Based on the plans, the annual loading of new fuel and periodic technical inspections and major repairs of the important equipment of the first unit of Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant have started.
According to the official website of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, based on the plans and with the coordination of the country's power grid management, the annual loading of new fuel and carrying out periodic technical inspection and major repairs of the important equipment of the first unit of the Bushehr nuclear power plant began on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
The activity of annual loading of new fuel, and carrying out periodic technical inspection and major repairs of important equipment for ensuring the continuation of the safe and reliable operation of Bushehr nuclear power plant and increasing the useful life of the unique equipment of this power plant is mandatory.
The first unit of Bushehr nuclear power plant will be re-entered into the production circuit after annual refueling and major repairs in coordination with the country's national electricity distribution network.
The first unit of Bushehr nuclear power plant as Iran's first 1000 megawatt nuclear power plant, which is being operated by experts and internal forces; has produced 7.6 billion KWH electricity in its one-year operation since refueling last year. This amount of clean energy has played an effective role in supplying Iran's favored energy country and going beyond peak hours' consumption in summer and winter.
