Iran Press/ Iran News: At the meeting of Afghan businessmen and investors in Iran on Friday, Mirwais Nab, Afghanistan's Deputy Foreign Minister, stressed the need to provide opportunities, facilities, and more work to expand trade and investment relations with Iran.
In this meeting, which was attended by Bahador Aminian, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mirwais Nab stressed the importance of effective and continuous cooperation between organizations active in the trade and investment sectors between Afghanistan and Iran and expressed hope that some existing trade problems between the two sides would be resolved.
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Bahador Aminian, called the meeting important and valuable in order to hear the views and address the problems of Afghan businessmen in Iran, and while acknowledging some existing problems, he said that Iran has always tried to expand trade relations between the two countries.
In the meeting, several Afghan businessmen and investors talked about the challenges in trade and transit between Afghanistan and Iran, the rapid transfer of commercial goods in the port of Chabahar, and the timely issuance of visas for Afghan traders and their families in Iran, and called for more facilities.
According to the Statistics Office of Afghanistan, Iran became Afghanistan's largest trading partner in 2019, so that last year it gained the first place in exports to Afghanistan.
