Iran Press/ Asia: In his latest tweet released on Sunday, First Vice President of Afghanistan Amrullah Saleh said: "I see a great & historic opportunity for unity.”
He added: "Every single community from all corners of the country asks Kabul for deployment of the army & commandos. This shows thirst for institutions & rule of law as people reject factionalism.”
In recent months, however, the Taliban have stepped up their attacks in various provinces, gaining control over nearly 40 districts in Afghanistan.
