Iran Press/ Africa: On February 1st, 1979, Imam Khomeini, the Founder of the Islamic Revolution, returned to Tehran amidst an enthusiastic welcome from the people after fifteen years of exile.
On the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the victory of Iran's Islamic Revolution, intellectuals and people of conscience continue to express their opinions on the remarkable achievements made by the Islamic Revolution.
The Professor of Applied Geology, Ahmad Isah Haruna, in an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency, said, "when the Islamic Republic of Iran defeated Iraq and won the eight years imposed war, people around the world jubilated not just Muslims, but even Christians. They were benefiting from the Islamic Revolution. because I realized that Imam (Khomeini) is for humanity. And that's the proper definition of Islam."
Ahmad Isah Haruna added that the achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran are overwhelming. I was reading one of the documentaries that their (Iranians) literacy level is beyond 90%, probably within 95 to 96%, which means education is almost for everybody.
He also talked about how the Islamic Republic helps oppressed nations in the world, citing examples with Lebanon, Palestine, Afghanistan, and other countries regardless of their faith," that impact has come to stay," he said.
When turned on sanctions against Iran, Professor Ahmad Isah Haruna quoted the former US President who said, "Iran in silence, more dangerous (to oppressors) than at war." This means Iran develops faster under sanctions. Also, the former US president George Bush admitted that Iranian universities are among the best universities in the world.
The Professor said when Imam Khomeini passed away, the Western countries were singing propaganda that there would be a problem in the succession (of the leadership), but when Ayatollah Khamenei came, they were shocked.
