Iran Press/ Iran news: Director General of cultural heritage, handicrafts, and tourism organization of Lorestan province, Seyyed Amin Ghasemi on Wednesday said that Lorestan is one of the richest provinces in terms of cultural, historic buildings, with over 2,500 historical items registered in the list of national monuments.
According to Ghasemi, protecting these historical monuments is one of the tasks of the Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.
He further noted: "Since the establishment of the 'Cultural Heritage Protection Unit', we have seen significant achievements in the fight against unauthorized excavators and antiquities smugglers, which demonstrates the effective and useful presentation of the efforts of this unit."
