Iran Press/Europe: Rob Macaire said, as an ambassador of a European state he is committed to promote economic ties under the 2015 nuclear deal, as Europeans are creating a banking system for solving communicative issues with Iran.
According to IRNA, in a meeting with economic activists in Yazd Chamber of Commerce, he said that presence of several attaches and counselors during the visit reveals UK’s resolve to develop relations with Iran, especially with Yazd province.
He also said, we are doing our best to promote economic ties with Iran.

Although EU-Iran ties are influenced by politics, we like to see Iran-Britain ties developed further, and currently there is high motivation for this, added Macaire.
Head of Yazd Chamber of Commerce, Mohammad Reza Qomi, for his part said Britain and European states should help Iran benefit from the JCPOA.
Qomi further noted that Yazd province can help develop economic ties with Britain.
Recently, British Prime Minister reiterated the UK's commitment to the JCPOA, noting Britain would continue to take steps to ensure that Iran receives economic benefits from sanctions relief.
Theresa May stated that Britain welcomes the development of relations and cooperation with Iran in various sectors, including economy and energy.
British prime minister made these remarks in a meeting with Iranian president, Hassan Rouhani on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the United Nations general assembly.
Remaining parties to the Iran nuclear deal have promised to establish a ‘special purpose vehicle’ to facilitate payments related to Iran’s exports as part of efforts to salvage the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action after the US’ withdrawal.
European Union’s Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held a joint press conference in New York to elaborate on the results of a meeting between the remaining parties of JCPOA, namely France, the UK, Germany, Russia, China, and Iran.
Tensions have ramped up between Tehran and Washington after the American president in May fulfilled his election campaign promise and pulled his country from the 2015 multilateral nuclear deal with Iran, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Since its withdrawal from the JCPOA, Washington has sought to build up international pressure on Iran.
Furthermore, the US administration introduced punitive measures — known as secondary sanctions — against third countries doing business with Iran.
