Iran foreign minister has strongly condemned West's silence on chemical attack in Aleppo.

Iran News: Iran foreign minister has strongly condemned West's silence on chemical attack in Aleppo, Iran Press reported.

Iran foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif has strongly denounced a chemical attack on the residential areas of the Syrian city of Aleppo and stressed, in West's pattern, the chemical attacks by its ally are not condemned.

"Where is the West in condemning the chemical attack in Aleppo by terrorists? West's pattern: chemical weapons only condemned if alleged to be used by an enemy; not an ally. A blind eye turned when Saddam used them against Iran, but war waged to destroy them when he was an enemy", Iran's foreign minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif said in a message released in his twitter account on Sunday.

Also Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Bahram Qassemi has vehemently censured the chemical attack launched by terrorists on civilians in the Syrian city of Aleppo.

In a Sunday statement, Qassemi expressed deep regret and concern over the reports of the incident, and described the attack as “inhumane and despicable”, according to Iran’s Foreign Ministry.

“The cause of such an inhumane act by terrorist groups is the unflinching intellectual, political, financial and military support provided by some regional and trans-regional states for these groups, which are on the brink of annihilation,” he noted.

Recent chemical attack on Aleppo took place on November 24, 2018. The attack hit al-Khalidiya neighborhood in the government-held city on Saturday, Syria state TV reported.

Reports say close to 100 Syrian people have been hospitalized.

Doctors said most of those admitted to hospitals have breathing problems and blurred vision, Press TV reported.

Also on Sunday, Syria’s foreign ministry has called on the UN Security Council to condemn the chemical attack carried out by the foreign-backed militants in the northern city of Aleppo.

"The Syrian government calls on the Security Council to immediately and strongly condemn these terrorist crimes, punitive measures against the nations and regimes that support and fund terrorism," Syrian foreign ministry said in a statement.

“The terrorist attack in Aleppo is the result of the efforts by certain countries which sponsor terrorist groups,” it added.
