Mourners carry the body of 15-year old Palestinian teenager, Jamal Afana, during his funeral in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

Jamal, a 15-year old teenager, who was shot in the head by Israeli forces during clashes along the border near Rafah in southern Gaza on 11 May, succumbed to his wounds the next day, according to the Palestinian health ministry in Gaza.

Thousands of Palestinians have been staging demonstrations on Gaza Strip’s Eastern border with Israel against the decades-long Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands recently. The peaceful marches and demonstrations are in support of the long-ignored right of Palestinian refugees who want to return to their ancestral homeland.
