Iran Press/Iran: Iranian freestyle wrestlers Amir Mohammad Yazdani, Navid Zangeneh and Mohammad Moradi, received three medals in the U-23 Senior Asian Championships which is currently underway in Mongolia.
Yazdani in the 65kg weight category defeated his Chinese opponent, and in the semi-final match, he overpowered his Indian opponent to advance to the finals.
According to an IRNA report, in the final match, he was beaten by his Mongolian opponent and secured a silver medal.
In the 74kg weight category, Navid Zangeneh defeated his opponents from Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan and advanced to the semi-final match.
In the semi-final, he overpowered his rival from Kazakhstan and advanced to the final match, where he was outmanoeuvred by a wrestler from Mongolia and snatched a silver medal.
Mohammad Moradi in the 125 kg weight category, defeated an opponent from China, but was overpowered by a Mongolian wrestler and advanced to the semi-final match.
In the semi-final, he lost the match to an opponent from Kazakhstan and advanced to qualifiers.
He defeated his rival from Kyrgyzstan 11-9 and was awarded a bronze medal.
The U-23 Senior Asian Championships is currently underway in Ulan Bator, Mongolia until 24 March.
