Iran's Deputy Interior Minister for political affairs has praised the massive presence of the people in 11 February rallies, saying we should prepare ourselves for an economic war.

Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at a national conference of political, security and social deputy ministers of the country, Jamal Orf, deputy interior minister for political affairs, said on Sunday that the massive participation of the Iranian people in the 22 Bahman (11 February) rallies marking the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution was significantly higher than last year.

According to an Iran Press report, Orf said: "Reports from every region and province indicate that significantly more people attended this year's rallies, marking the 40th anniversary, compared to previous years."

Orf went on to say: "In the current situation, we have to prepare ourselves for an economic war, and according to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in addition to an economic war, we have to prepare for an operational and intelligence war.

Referring to the enemy's plot to disappoint and dishearten the Iranian people from the revolution and the system, he said: "The enemy uses the internet, satellite broadcasts, television and radio networks to disappoint and dishearten people. The enemy is struggling to frustrate us. But the Islamic Republic will get through this war with flying colours, thanks to the leadership and guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, serious efforts by the government, and the resistance and resilience of the Iranian people.

He added that the enemy in Warsaw was trying to ruin the image of Iran in the region but their attempt was rejected by many countries and the international community at large. The Islamic Republic is in a position where it's not easy for them to reach a consensus to condemn Iran at the UN Security Council.  102/211/213
