Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif has said the 'Munich' and 'Warsaw' Conferences showed clearly how isolated America is in the world.

Iran Press/Iran news: Talking to Lebanon's Al-Manar TV channel on the sideline of Munich 2019 Security Conference on Saturday, Mohammad Javad Zarif said: "No one backs America's anti-Iran actions because Washington has clearly violated international laws", according to Iran Press.

Europeans Reject Pence Demand

The US Vice President Mike Pence called on Europeans to withdraw from the nuclear deal with Iran, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA), both at the Warsaw conference on Thursday and also at the Munich security conference on Saturday. The Europeans, however, refused point blank, rejecting the demand from Pence.

The European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini emphasized at Munich that Europe will continue to implement the nuclear deal JCPOA in full, despite US pressures.

Iran and Lebanon ties

In his interview with Al-Manar television, Zarif reiterated Iran's support for Lebanon in different issues saying in his talks with Lebanese defense minister 'Elias Bou Saab' on Saturday, on the sideline of the Munich conference, he stressed Tehran's readiness for boosting economic ties with Beirut.

Earlier in his trip to Lebanon on 10 and 11 February, Zarif had told senior Lebanese officials that Iran was ready to expand its economic cooperation with Lebanon across the board.

Sochi Conference

Pointing to Sochi talks, Zarif said the Presidents of Iran, Russia, and Turkey had a good meeting in Sochi and held constructive negotiations on the situation in Syria.

The fourth trilateral meeting between the Iranian, Russian, and Turkish presidents took place in the Black Sea resort of Sochi on 14 February. 

The three presidents discussed terrorism in the region, as well as the situation in Syria, the return of Syrian refugees to their homes, the Astana peace negotiations, the situation in Syria's Idlib province, the withdrawal of US military forces from Syria, and Syria's new constitution.

At Sochi, president Rouhani also emphasized that Tehran, Moscow, and Ankara were determined to fight Terrorism in Syria until the complete eradication of this scourge.

The Iranian president, Hassan Rouhani also presented a five-point-plan for the restoration of security and stability to Syria, stating that it is necessary to fight all the terror groups in Syria until terrorism is finally eradicated. 208/211/103
