Polish cemetery in Tehran was made during the evacuation of Polish civilians from the USSR in World War II.

Iran Press/Iran news: The cemetery contains the remains of 1892 graves of Polish civilians. 408 graves belong to Polish soldiers during World War II.

Most of the Polish citizens buried in the cemetery, after the release of Stalin camps in Siberia and Kazakhstan returned to Europe through Iran.
