Elsewhere in his remarks, Mohammad Bagher Nowbakht said: "The intelligent American people will not vote for Trump at the next presidential election (due in 2020). He will be voted out of office!"
The Iranian government spokesman went on to warn Iran's enemies: "If some want to deprive Iranian people from their rights, we will definitely resist and confront it".
Nowbakht added: "Therefore our flexibility, delay, and heroic flexibility, all the actions that we do all the time is to gain Iranian people's goals without a huge price."
The press conference came after, government spokesman ,Nowbakht, announced on Monday a new raft of measures to counter and resist new US sanctions against Tehran. The sanctions were re-imposed after America's withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal (JCPOA).
