The Conference on Saudi Arabia ,Foreign Policy and Salafism was held on Sat March 3 2018 at the British Library in London.
Speakers included Saudi Arabia's Activists ,politicians, lawyers and academics were among the participants of the event. some Spoke about How Saudi Regime which is a key Western Ally only seeks to preserve it self and the privileges it enjoys.
Referring to Saudi princes misdeeds, one of the inviting main speakers of the event said that all of the most important possessions only belong to them .
" They see themselves as the property owners and the citizens as their subjects" ,he continued .
Hence they believe they have the right to decide the nation's history , religion and culture. and Finally since they have control over two holy mosques they believe they can determine how Islam is interpreted for millions around the world ,he concluded.
Other speaker spoke about how Saudi Arabia uses Wahhabism to spread intolerance and hatred and divides societies. He also stressed the fact that the Wahhabi religious establishment would twist Islam to please the political masters .
The conference called into question the Britain's relationship with Saudi Arabia which is based on Arms sale used in Yemeni War.
However ; the majority of the participants expect that the relationship would be intensified due to the economic preferences and needs of UK after Leaving the EU.
Since becoming Saudi Arabia's De facto ruler, Mohammad bin Salman has launched a devastating war on Yemen ,Imposed economic siege on Qatar and conducted an internal crackdown on his rivals.
On Wednesday March7 ,2018 he will Arrive on UK for a 3-day State visit During which he will meet The British prime minister Theresa May .Government officials as well as The Royal Family.
