Iranian ambassador to Damascus Javad Torkabadi

Senior Syrian economic officials welcomed the presence of Iranian companies, especially knowledge-based companies, at the 5th Special Syrian Reconstruction Exhibition.

Iran Press/Middle East: Iran's ambassador to Damascus Javad Torkabadi, on the sidelines of the Fifth Syria Reconstruction Exhibition, said senior economic officials, government executives and experts, as well as elites, economic entrepreneurs and Syrian students visited Iranian booths at the exhibition.

Referring to the valuable cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Syria in the political and military spheres over the past 40 years, Turkabadi added: "Now, after tackling the terror conspiracy, the development of bilateral economic ties is on the agenda of mutual relations."

Referring to the presence of 74 Iranian companies in the Syrian reconstruction exhibition, Ali Biniaz, economic attaché to the Iranian embassy in Damascus expressed hope that the economic and business ties between the two countries would have a bright and promising future.

The 5th Syria Reconstruction Exhibition opened in Damascus with 390 companies from 31 foreign countries on 17 September and will continue until next Saturday.
