  • Iran's Larijani cancels Turkey trip after Ankara begins Syria offensive

Iran's Parliament Speaker canceled a planned trip to Turkey after Ankara launched a military operation in northeast Syria.

Iran Press/Iran news: Ali Larijani was supposed to travel to Ankara at the invitation of his Saudi counterpart according to Iran Press.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday that his country launched a long-threatened military operation in northeast Syria.

According to some reports said that two civilians were killed and two others injured in the Turkish aerial bombardment.

Special Aide on International Affairs of the Islamic Parliament and former Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs in Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes that Turkish army operation in Northern Syria more complicates the situation.
