Iran Press/ Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Rafat Masood pointed to the importance of media in integrating people together, adding: "Media plays a very important role in integrating and bringing people together and especially these days when the media all over the world are very active in promoting negative images about our region."
According to Iran Press, she stressed that It is important for the ECO members to join together and present their views, which is possible only through the media.
She further highlighted that Pakistan supports all ECO activities, adding: "We hope to work together to make this union strong, a union in which we can promote our own cultural values, our economic integration, our truism, and social values through the media to make rest of the world understand our region better."
The members of ECO countries representatives including the Pakistani ambassador to Iran and Turkish, Afghan and Kazakhstan representatives participated in the ECOMU (Economic Cooperation Organization media union) meeting held in Press TV headquarter in Tehran on Tuesday.
