Turkish president arrived in Tehran on Friday to attend the trilateral meeting with his Iranian and Russian counterpart.

Iran press/Iran: During the summit, the leaders are expected to discuss developments in Syria and how to deal with radical Islamic groups.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. is also expected to have bilateral talks with his Russian counterpart  Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the trilateral talks.

Rouhani, Putin and Erdogan are to attend a meeting on Friday for exchange of views on the process of fighting terrorism and establishing security in Syria.

Erdogan told reporters on Wednesday that a positive outcome is expected from the upcoming Syria summit in Iran.

Turkey, alongside Russia and Iran, is a guarantor of the ceasefire regime in Syria. The three guarantor states initiated the Astana Process on January 23, 2017, establishing de-escalation zones in an effort to restore calm in the region and improve the humanitarian situation in war-torn Syria.

The three leaders have met twice in Sochi and Istanbul in the framework of Astana Syria Talks.In the meetings, the three leaders discussed important issues on Syria and ways to help the country to end the crisis.
