Sweden foreign ministry announced on Wednesday, that it is holding talks with Iran, Britain over the seizure of a British-flagged oil in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran Press/Europe: Expressing concerns about the heightened tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, the ministry added: "Given the very serious situation in the region, it is also important that the measures taken help to ease tensions.”

“Sweden is conducting a dialogue at various levels with the UK, Iran, and other relevant stakeholders... and we hope to find a resolution to the issues and de-escalate the tense situation,” the ministry according to Reuters. 

On July 19, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy captured British oil tanker Stena Impero for violating international maritime laws when crossing the high-traffic Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf.
