Gilan (IP) - Gilan province produces 85% of Iran's hazelnuts, Eshkevarat, and Rahimabad in Rudsar city are the largest hazelnut producers and are known as the hazelnut capital of Iran.

Iran Press/Iran News: Gilan province in northern Iran, with more than 17,000 hectares of hazelnut orchards, produces about 20,000 tons of hazelnuts annually.

Iran ranks fourth in the world in terms of hazelnut production and Turkey ranks first.

There are different types of hazelnuts and four types are produced in Iran.

Gilan province, in addition to various natural attractions for tourists and nature lovers, is a producer of various agricultural products.
