Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro announced on Saturday that his government severs diplomatic relations with Colombia.

Iran Press/America: Venezuela severs diplomatic relations with Colombia, the country’s President Nicolas Maduro told people at a rally to support legitimate government of Venezuela in the capital Caracas that broadcast live on his Twitter page.

President Maduro, ordered the diplomats of the neighboring Colombia out of his country within the next 24 hours.

Colombia’s President Ivan Duque has been an outspoken critic of  Maduro and a close ally of the United States, and his country was the main staging point for the opposition’s efforts to bring humanitarian aid across the border, Meanwhile Caracas says US under the cover of humanitarian aid and with the cooperation of Colombia, tries to provide arms for oppositions.

Nicolas Maduro who invited Juan Guaido leader of the opposition several times for negotiation to settle disputes, criticized Guaido and called him a “puppet of imperialism.”

Maduro’s order to breaking relations with Colombia and expelling Colombian ambassador and consular staffs to leave Venezuela within 24 hours issued when Colombia assisted the US and opposition to bring humanitarian aid into the country, Reuters reported.

"Patience is exhausted, I can't bare it anymore, we can't keep putting up with Colombian territory being used for attacks against Venezuela. For that reason, I have decided to break all political and diplomatic relations with Colombia's fascist government," Maduro said in his speech.
