(IP)- Deputy Minister of Culture of Tajikistan visited Iran's booth at the 11th Kitobi Dushanbe

Iran PressAsia: Iran has attended the 11th Dushanbe International Book Exhibition “Kitobi Dushanbe 2023” (The Book of Dushanbe), which kicked off Tuesday.

Visiting Iran's booth, Deputy Minister of Culture of Tajikistan Davlat Safarzoda pointed to the cultural commonalities between the two countries.

The deputy minister referred to poets, cultural, and artistic figures, artistic events, and gatherings on the occasion of Iranian Poets' Day (Rudaki, Hafiz, and Ferdowsi) and exchanged views with the officials of the Iranian booth.  

The exhibition runs from October 3 to 5 with the participation of eight countries and 50 publishers.

Russia is the guest of honor in this edition of the exhibition.

Visiting the Iran booth at the Dushanbe International Book Exhibition, the Russian ambassador to Tajikistan expressed his interest in getting to know the literature and publishing industry of Iran. 

“The literature of resistance is common between Iran and Russia and we can cooperate in various programs related to history, culture, and folklore literature,” Semyon Grigoriyev said.

The Iranian Book and Literature House is comprised of a booth with 22 square meters, and 800 titles in classical and contemporary literature, poetry, fiction, and books related to the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Earlier in May, Tajikistan was the guest of honor at the 34th Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF).
