Iran Press/ West Asia: The Secretary-General of Hezbollah Sheikh Naim Qassem, in his speech on recent developments, offered condolences and congratulations on the martyrdom of resistance commanders, including Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Hashem Safieddine, General Soleimani, and other martyrs, including Hezbollah's media relations officer.
Sheikh Naim Qassem said: "My dear brother Hashem Safieddine was a companion and a fellow traveler on the path of resistance. His efforts in the Hezbollah Executive Council, including overseeing cultural, health, organizational, charitable activities, and scouting, will always be remembered."
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah emphasized that the Zionist enemy, by attacking Beirut, martyred Mohammad Afif al-Nabulsi, the head of Hezbollah's media department. However, the enemy should expect that the response to targeting Beirut will be an attack on the center of Tel Aviv.
Tel Aviv Faces Retaliation
Naim Qassem underscored the role of the martyr Afif al-Nablusi in addressing a critical media void by exposing the enemy further, highlighting the achievements of the resistance, and countering accusations against it. He emphasized that they cannot allow the Lebanese capital to remain under attack from the Israeli enemy without a response. The regime must realize that such attacks will result in targeting the heart of Tel Aviv.
Hezbollah Chief Thanks Allies
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah expressed gratitude to all those who showed solidarity and sympathy with the party following the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. He emphasized the importance of continuing the path of the martyrs and preserving their legacy. He stated, "We are proud to be among the few who, alongside Yemen, Iraq, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, have supported the rights of Gaza, while the world merely watches the martyrdom of over 45,000 people and the injury and displacement of many Palestinians and Lebanese."
Resistance's Legendary Resilience
Sheikh Naim Qassem emphasized that throughout this battle, which has lasted for two months so far, the result has been the legendary steadfastness and resilience of the resistance in Lebanon, leading to the death of over a hundred Israelis and the injury of more than a thousand.
He added: "The enemy moved to the second phase of its ground invasion and attempted to infiltrate some villages. However, I emphasize that the resistance, despite not being a regular and organized army, will fight back wherever the enemy tries to advance."
Qassem: Defiant Stance Against Occupation
He underscored the exceptional model of resistance, stating, "We have remained steadfast in our commitment to do everything within our power to support and aid Gaza and Palestine, all the while considering the circumstances of Lebanon. We have provided all we can for Gaza and offered the necessary support and backing for Palestine. In this mission, we have undertaken a significant endeavor and are proud to be among the few who have upheld this honorable stance, while the world merely watches."
Sheikh Naim Qassem said: "We have sufficient power and capabilities, and I reiterate that with these abilities, some have been moved to the front lines, and we have made adjustments among our fighters. This land belongs to us, and the youth are our youth. The occupying regime can never establish itself on our land or advance within our territory, and, God willing, we will soon expel it."
Battlefield, Ceasefire, Sovereignty
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah asserted: "We believe that the battlefield will be the ultimate decider and that outcomes will be determined there. The resistance has the capability to sustain its fight at this pace for an extended period."
He noted that the enemy can never defeat them or impose its conditions, as they are men of the battlefield and will remain steadfast in the field.
On the topic of ceasefire negotiations, Sheikh Naim Qassem remarked: "We have meticulously reviewed the negotiation document and identified several observations. Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, also shared observations that were in concord with ours. These observations have been relayed to the American representative. At this juncture, we have chosen to refrain from discussing the content of the agreement and our observations publicly."
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah raised the question of whether ceasefire negotiations could lead to the cessation of the war. He stated, "No one can guarantee such an outcome, as it depends on Netanyahu's level of seriousness. However, we must understand that our negotiations are based on the complete cessation of hostilities and the necessity of preserving Lebanon's sovereignty."
