Iran Press/Iran news: Commenting on the workload of Islamic Revolutionary Courts in a press conference on Sunday, Ghazanfar Abadi added: "We deal with a range of crimes in Islamic Revolutionary Courts including drug trafficking and narcotics, contraband and smuggling of goods, smuggling of medicine, financial fraud and corruption, currency fraud and serious White-collar crime which has a negative effect on the economy."
The head of the Islamic Revolutionary Courts added: "We are fighting corruption on multiple fronts, and part of the responsibility for fighting economic crimes, contraband, smuggling of drugs, narcotics, and medicines, lies with us, and we act according to the guidelines issued by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, particularly as far as fighting graft and corruption is concerned. We tackle corruption as ordered by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution."
In further comments, Ghazanfar Abadi said: "Just as Iran's Judiciary Chief indicated last week, if a government official deliberately turns a blind eye to bribery, fraud, and corruption, or worse still, participates in corruption, he has no status and standing as far as the judicial branch of the government is concerned. We do not respect such an official."
