According to an Iran press report, the three guarantors of peace , namely Iran, Turkey, and Russia , are meeting in Sochi, to discuss the latest situation in Syria.
The Iranian diplomatic delegation, headed by Hussein Jaberi Ansari, has arrived in Sochi, Russia, to take part in the tenth Syria international peace conference.
The Russian diplomatic delegation is headed by Alexander Lavrentiev , president Putin's special envoy for Syrian affairs, and the Turkish delegation is headed by deputy foreign minister, Sedat Onal. Also invited to the Sochi meeting is Stephan Di Mistura , the UN secretary general's special envoy for Syria.
The main topics of discussion on Tuesday 31 July, will be the issue of facilitating the return of refugees to their homes in Syria, inter-Syrian talks between various groups, and the issue of re-writing Syria's constitution, which needs to get underway quickly. Also discussed in Tuesday's meeting between the three guarantor nations (Iran, Russia, Turkey) is the issue of the disappeared and missing, and exchange of prisoners in Syria.
