Iran Press/ Asia: The rally came after a notorious Swedish-Danish extremist, Rasmus Paludan, received permission from Sweden’s government to burn the holy book in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm less than a week ago.
Paludan was being protected by the Swedish police while committing the sacrilege.
The people of Pakistan gathered in Islamabad on Friday evening and called that the international community not to remain silent against hurting the feelings of Muslims.
The speakers at the gathering of the Pakistani people in Islamabad termed insulting the Holy Qur'an in Sweden as a derogatory act as well as a violation of the freedom of speech and emphasized the trial of the perpetrators.
The people of Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar also gathered and condemned the insulting of Islamic sanctities in Western countries.
The president, the prime minister, and some of the ministers of Pakistan,in their statements, also condemned the insulting of the Qur'an in Sweden.
