Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) had over 300 flights canceled in the last 10 days due to the shortage of fuel and a financial crunch, a spokesperson of PIA said on Wednesday.

Iran PressAsia: The fuel shortage arose after the Pakistan State Oil (PSO) cut the fuel supply to PIA over unpaid dues, Abdullah Hafeez Khan, the Spokesperson of the National Carrier, told Xinhua.

A total of 51 flights were canceled on Tuesday alone, including 27 on domestic routes, said the spokesperson.

"We are in a crisis," Muhammad Aamir Memon, PIA's General Manager Brand, he said.
