Iran Press/ Iran news: Iran's Judiciary Chief Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, on the occasion of the anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution, in a letter to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, proposed to pardon or commute the punishment of 2,315 convicts.
The proposal was approved by Ayatollah Khamenei in the implementation of section 11 of article 110 of Iran's Constitution.
Iranian people will take to the streets on Tuesday in a countrywide rally on a national holiday marking the 41st anniversary of the victory of the 1979 revolution that toppled the Pahlavi monarchy and founded the Islamic Republic in Iran.
