Iran Press/Iran news: At the Ela Beit al-Maqdis military exercise with 60,000 Basijis in Khuzestan, the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Major General Hossein Salami, while honoring the memory of the martyrs and congratulating Basij Week, stated: "Today, when I saw this gathering of Basijis, I wished you had been present in early Islam; if you had been there, Imam Ali (PBUH) would not have been struck in prayer, Imam Hassan (PBUH) would not have been left alone against Muawiya's army, Ashura would not have occurred the way it did, and the Imams (PBUT) would not have been left alone against the oppressors."
He expressed that being among dear Basijis today was an honor for him, adding, "From this land, dear martyrs rose and stood against the enemies, preventing them from invading Iran. This is the land of martyrs; this is the land of Iran's great operations against heavily armed enemies; all the global powers that rose against Iran."
Enemies Face Only Defeat, Says IRGC Commander
Major General Salami referred to Khuzestan as the land of divine blessings for aiding the powerful and fervent warriors of Islam. He stated that Khuzestan has a historical record of defeating great powers and is known as the land of conquests and clear victories, a land of divine assistance.
The IRGC commander, referring to Basij Week, noted: "The Basij is the lasting legacy of the late Imam Khomeini; after him, Imam Khamenei planted this great tree in the beliefs of the Iranian people and the peoples of Islamic lands. Today, the seeds of resistance in Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, Palestine, and beyond have grown into deep-rooted trees. Despite the collective efforts of imperial powers to uproot these trees, they have achieved nothing but defeat."
Basij Ideology Expands Beyond Iran
He stated that the Basijis have donned the attire of honor and have taken their place in the field of jihad. He continued, "Basijis are the adornment of the guardianship, and the image of the Basij is recognized worldwide. The Basij ideology has extended beyond Iran's borders, and wherever they arrive, the enemy flees. As long as they are present, Islam remains dear, and the leader of the time is not left alone. You encircle the Supreme Leader like a ring around a finger, and with you, all paths can be traversed."
Israelis Feel Uneasy Amid Tensions
He stated that currently, no one in Israel feels at ease, with everyone seeking refuge in shelters, instilling fear among their enemies. He emphasized that Israeli officials are in disarray and suffering from depression, their military is fatigued, while Hezbollah and the resistance front are fully mobilized and operational.
Major General Salami, referring to the issuance of a trial verdict for Israeli leaders, noted that this verdict signifies the end and demise of Israel, leaving it isolated. He described this as a victory for the Islamic community, noting that no one except American officials travels there anymore. He called on officials from all Islamic countries to cut off support to this regime to ensure its complete defeat and destruction.
IRGC Commander Vows Revenge on Israel
He stated that the continuation of this war will only lead to the destruction of Israel. He emphasized that if Muslims unite, this source of corruption will be eradicated. He assured that this path will be followed, as the world cannot endure oppression. Reflecting on the fate of predecessors, he predicted that Israel's destruction is inevitable. He assured the people of Iran that they will take their revenge on Israel.
