Iran Press/ Iran News: "The satellite system's conceptual design have been complete and is under construction," said Mojtaba Namvar.
The project's estimated cost is 80 to 100 million dollars.
The senior member of the satellite system project continued: "The mission of 60 satellites is designed for maritime activities to meet the needs of the country and even other countries in the field of navigation and automatic detection system. This satellite is also used for military activities and finding the origin and destination of sea routes."
Recently, Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) successfully launched and placed the country’s first military satellite, dubbed Nour-1 (Light-1), into orbit.
The satellite was launched via the Qassed (Carrier) satellite carrier during an operation that was staged in the Dasht-e Kavir, Iran’s sprawling central desert. The satellite was placed into orbit 425 kilometers above Earth’s surface. 207/214
