The president described the alignment and shared positions of Iran and Eritrea as valuable, especially in supporting the oppressed people of Palestine, and emphasized Iran's readiness to transfer experiences and share capacities with Eritrea.

Iran Press/Iran news:  On Wednesday afternoon, Masoud Pezeshkian, in a meeting with Osman Saleh Mohammed, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Eritrea, who has traveled to Tehran to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of the 14th term of Iran's presidency, described the alignment and sharing of the positions of Iran and Eritrea, especially in the support of the oppressed people of Palestine as valuable, and emphasized the need to increase efforts to strengthen and improve relations between them and stated, "The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to transfer its experiences and share its capacities with Eritrea".

In another part of this meeting, the president called the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the Chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau, a criminal and vicious act and emphasized, "Without a doubt, this crime will not go unanswered".

By stating that the Zionist regime's genocide in Gaza and the killing of oppressed and defenseless women and children in this region has no precedent in history in terms of the inaction of international assemblies and circles, Pezeshkian stressed the cessation of these crimes.

In this meeting, Osman Saleh Mohammed, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Eritrea, also congratulated the election of Dr Pezeshkian as the President of Iran and called for the expansion of interactions and relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Eritrea.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Eritrea also condemned the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the Chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau, and expressed his condolences to the two nations of Iran and Palestine for this criminal act.
