Iran, Oman call for expansion of cultural cooperation

Iran's ambassador to Muscat and Oman's Deputy Minister of Heritage and Culture discussed ways to expand bilateral cultural cooperation.

Iran Press/Middle East: Iran's ambassador to Muscat Mohammad Reza Nouri Shahroudi highlighted the necessity of holding joint activities and developing cultural relations with Oman in a meeting with Oman's Deputy Minister of Heritage and Culture, Hamad bin Hilal Al Ma'amari.

Iran's ambassador to Muscat emphasized on Thursday, "Iran expects cultural cooperation between Iran and Oman to expand along with political and economic ties," Iran Press reported.

Nouri Shahroudi also referred to Tehran's readiness to transfer its experiences to Oman, referring to Iran's history of restoration, preservation, and exploitation of historical monuments.

Hamad bin Hilal Al Ma'amari also welcomed the development of cultural relations between Tehran and Muscat, adding, "Oman and Iran have deep historical and long-standing relations and that all capacities should be used to develop relations." 101/219
