Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking at a cabinet meeting on Sunday, Hassan Rouhani said the country was struggling in three fronts, global arrogance, coronavirus, and unemployment while scored positive economic growth.
The President added: "Thanks to the great struggle of the people and officials, and the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, economic statistics of the end of last year show that the enemies failed to realize their conspiracy in bringing the economy and our people to their knees."
The President added: "These days, we are fighting on three fronts: arrogance, corona, and unemployment. In the fight against corona in most provinces, the situation is under control, but unfortunately, 5 provinces are in a critical situation."
"We started the new Iranian year with the coronavirus," Rouhani said, stating that the economies of almost all countries, with the exception of one or two, have become very small, and economic growth has been negative in many countries. Thank God, when we look at the growth of the first two months, we were successful in agriculture and industry," he said.
End of the arms embargo in October achievements of JCPOA
The President called the end of the arms embargo in October one of the important achievements of the JCPOA and said: “If the Americans want to challenge this achievement, other major countries will know what our reaction will be."
The president stated: "We hope that all countries that are members of the Security Council and the Board of Governors will be fully aware of the US plans and these conspiracies, and we will be successful in this regard and leave behind the US plans for Iran.”
The US making hindrance in Iran's loan from IMF
"In the case of the International Monetary Fund, we have asked for a $ 5 billion loan, but unfortunately the Americans are still making hindrance it," he said, noting that we hope that this fund will not be under the pressure of the Americans and will fulfill its obligations vis-à-vis all countries.
