Tehran (IP) - Iranian deputy industry, mine, and trade minister for industry affairs says that the country's home appliances production has saved about $1.2 billion in foreign exchange.

Iran Press/Iran News: The 20th International Exhibition of Home Appliances kicked off in Tehran on Friday in full compliance with health protocols.

Mehdi Sadeghi-Niaraki on Friday at the opening ceremony of the Exhibition said: “In the last eight months, the refrigerator-freezer production has grown by 28%, TVs by 40% and washing machines by 58%.

Sadeghi-Niaraki pointed out that home appliances in Iran have replaced imported products in accordance with international standards.

The 20th International Exhibition of Home Appliances is held in the absence of visitors due to observing the coronavirus health instructions.

The four-day exhibition is being held in full compliance with health protocols in the presence of 175 production units.

The slogan of the exhibition is: "Production Shines in the Struggle against Sanctions."
