Third conference on the governance and public policy held in Tehran
Tehran (IP) - The third governance and public policy conference was held at IRIB International conference centre in Tehran on Wednesday 15 January 2020 attended by Minister of Education Mohsen Haji-Mirzaei.
Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking at the conference, the Minister of Education, Haji-Mirzaei, recalled the assassination of Lt.Gen. Qasem Soleimani and those who lost their lives in the Ukrainian International Airlines air tragedy, saying if we face various challenges, our methods of governance should be changed, Iran Press reported.
"In order to get more convergence and share our successes, achievements and get more from our hidden capacities, we need synergy, and a common outlook," he added.
"The education ministry needs such a thing to achieve its aims. Our objective is to prepare and train children and young adults to accept responsibility and to become useful members of society, to cooperate with others," the minister stressed.
Haji-Mirzaei added: "There must be bonds with families as long as the students' characters have been shaped within the family environment."
Secretary and member of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution Seyyed Saeed Reza Ameli was another key speaker at the conference.
He stated that the aim of the Third Governance and Public Policy Conference is the new generation, considering two concepts for the new generation.
"The first concept is that we should get ready to transfer the governance to the new generation. But the second one is using new technology to reshape the system which needs systematic rationality," Saeed-Reza Ameli explained.
The Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution went on to say that nowadays autonomic systematic intelligence is emerging in society which is excellent for moving towards an Islamic civilization.
He said: "Governance needs to be reengineered. All the energies will deplete, but in cyberspace, in the technological world we face new space, cyberspace means figures and numbers. Governance and government needs to change, based on new patterns that must take into account people's lives, security, justice, and a healthy society. This type of new governance, people's lives must be facilitated and their life quality must improve. The media has an integral role to play in cyberspace according to Islamic principles.
