Iran (IP)- The Director-General of Preservation of Relics and Publication of the Values ​​of the Sacred Defence of Ilam announced the martyrdom of the commander of the Middle Front Investigation Group at the zero point of the Mehran border.

Iran Press/Iran News: Colonel Mohammad-Hossein Fouladi said: "The Commander of the Middle Front Investigation Group at the zero point of the Mehran border and one of the subordinate forces in the Rezaabad border area, Alireza Golmohammadi hit a mine and was martyred at noon on Thursday."

He added: "Golmohammadi, the Commander of the Investigation Group from Miyaneh city of East Azarbaijan province, and Mahmoud Haji-Ghasemi from Shahroud of Semnan province hit the mines left from the Iran–Iraq 8-year war (holy defense period)."

Fouladi reminded: "The Investigation Group in the border area was carrying out preliminary activities to start the investigation of the martyrs in the border area of ​​Rezaabad when this incident occurred."

"Normally, after each rain, some unexploded mines appear on the surface of the soil," he said.

"Alireza Golmohammadi" had some challenges due to the injuries he had experienced during several stages where he was investigating the martyrs' bodies or signs in various operations, and he was martyred today. His brother, Davar Golmohammadi, is one of the divers martyred during the Holy Defense period as well.

Mahmoud Haji-Ghasemi was also one of the warriors and veterans who was martyred today at the zero point of Mehran border.
