The big picture:
Speaking on Friday on the sidelines of a Navy research conference in Nowshahr, Irani said Iran’s Navy has maintained an active presence in international arenas.
Since the beginning of the Iranian year 1404 (March 2025), the Navy has taken part in around 12 international events spanning scientific, technical, and sporting fields.
Participation in transregional naval drills linked to economic groupings such as BRICS is also on the agenda.

“A trilateral naval exercise will be held under the hosting of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and this year (2026) it will be conducted with the participation of a greater number of countries.”
“Naval Group 103 of the Iranian Army Navy is currently en route to take part in one of these exercises and is expected to be deployed at the drill location within the next week.”
“In addition to this, we have upcoming exercises in neighboring countries and in oceanic zones, reflecting the Navy’s expanding operational reach.”
