The head of Iran’s National Committee for the Commemoration of November 4th (National Day of Fighting Global Arrogance, National Student Day in the Iranian calendar) says this year’s events will be more magnificent and different from the previous years, presenting an opportunity to realize U.S. cognitive war against the Iranian people.

Why it matters:

Following the recent 12-day war imposed on Iran by Israel, now it is the Iranian officials' responsibility to show the real face of the U.S., which backed Israel in the war against the Iranian. Many innocent people were killed in that war, and now, November 4th is an opportunity.

The big picture:

The United States has consistently used both direct and indirect colonial tactics to undermine Iran, from the 1953 coup to supporting Saddam Hussein in the Iran-Iraq War. While the U.S. failed in physical warfare, it is now trying to manipulate public opinion and rewrite the narrative around Iran and the Islamic Revolution, which is a new battlefield.

What he’s saying:

Mostafa Rostami:

“November 4th is one of the days through which we can emerge victorious in the U.S's cognitive war against our country.

"We must use this occasion to reveal the reality of resistance and freedom to the hearts of the people and show the consequences of compromise with the U.S."

"This year, we have dozens of students and academic martyrs from the 12-day war, which gives the ceremony a completely different spirit."
